Córdoba police bust drug ring run by grandmother, granddaughter and ex‑officer

The anti‑narcotics unit of the Córdoba Provincial Police (Fuerza Policial Antinarcotráfico) carried out three simultaneous raids in Villa del Totoral, a town about 88 km north of Córdoba city. The operations targeted properties on Deán Funes street (numbers 600 and 700) in the La Loma neighbourhood, dismantling two street‑level cocaine sales points and a third location used for storage.

Three adults were arrested: a local drug‑trade figure identified as a grandmother, her adult granddaughter, and a former police officer who had been dismissed in 2015 and acted as a collaborator. Police seized several wraps of cocaine, cash, packaging material and a kiosk that served as a front for the operation. The arrests were ordered by the Ministerio Público Fiscal and the Fiscalía de Lucha contra el Narcotráfico de Jesús María, and the suspects were transferred to a judicial centre for prosecution under the national narcotics law.
