Córdoba province and Coria municipality launch public service reforms in Spain

The Diputación de Córdoba has opened an application period, running until 30 September, for a 75 % reduction in the domestic waste‑collection fee for three years. The cut is aimed at pensioners, low‑income households, large families, victims of gender violence and unemployed workers, provided they meet income limits (no more than 1.5 × IPREM), residency and property‑ownership criteria and are up‑to‑date on waste‑service and property‑tax payments. Applications can be submitted through the Epremasa website, municipal registers or the institute's offices and are limited to households in municipalities that belong to the province’s integrated waste‑management system.

The Ministry of Economy and Finance has transferred ownership of an 11.72‑hectare site in Coria to the town council at no cost. The land hosts the wastewater‑treatment plant, football fields and former training‑centre facilities. The handover ends a long‑running administrative process and gives the municipality full legal title, allowing it to plan future infrastructure, sports and public‑space projects and to involve residents in the site’s development.
