Córdoba Restores Glassed Plaza of Metropolitan Museum of Urban Art
The Municipality of Córdoba completed a six‑month restoration of the glassed plaza of the Museo Metropolitano de Arte Urbano (MMAU) on Plaza España, replacing three specially‑manufactured glass panels that had been vandalised. The complex replacement process involved panels about 62 mm thick designed to withstand pedestrian traffic and preserve the transparency that defines the museum’s exterior.
Secretary of Neighborhood Strengthening, Culture and Sports Héctor Campana highlighted the plaza’s role as a key gathering space for Cordobeses, saying it is “much more than a glass floor” and urging citizens to help preserve the renovated area now that it is fully available for outdoor cultural activities.
