Córdoba secures third place at National Karate-Do Interligas

The Córdoba delegation secured third place overall at the III National Interligas Senior Karate-Do Championship in Medellín. The team earned a total of ten medals, consisting of four gold, one silver, and five bronze. All four gold medals were won by female athletes: Laura Suárez (-50 kg), Mariana Noreña (-55 kg), Nayelis Maya (-61 kg), and Lina Puche (-68 kg). Michael Narváez earned a silver medal in the -67 kg category, while bronze medals were awarded to David Medina, Febor Conde, and Sayaka Osorio, alongside bronze finishes for both the men’s and women’s combat teams.

This tournament serves as the third qualifying event for the 2027 National Sports Games, which are scheduled to be hosted by Córdoba and Sucre. In the final medal standings, Valle del Cauca took first place with fourteen medals, followed by Antioquia in second with fifteen medals. Bogotá finished in fourth place.
