Córdoba social housing approvals drop by 75%

The number of approved social housing projects (VPO) in Córdoba has seen a significant decline. According to data from the Official College of Architects of Córdoba, only 31 protected housing units were approved between January and September, representing a 75% drop compared to the 124 units approved during the same period in 2025.

This decrease in project approvals serves as an indicator for the future of the construction sector. The decline occurs amid rising social demand for affordable housing, with over 7,000 people currently registered in the Municipal Registry of Applicants for Protected Housing managed by the public company Vimcorsa in Córdoba capital.
