Córdoba to host VII Aspacacor Conference on cardiovascular health

The Diputación de Córdoba will host the VII Aspacacor Conference on cardiovascular health at the Palacio de la Merced on September 29. Held in conjunction with World Heart Day, the event operates under the theme ‘Caring for hearts, transforming lives.’

The conference aims to raise awareness and promote the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, which the World Health Organization identifies as the leading cause of death globally, accounting for approximately 20 million deaths. Discussions will focus on early detection, emergency response, and the importance of healthy lifestyle habits such as balanced nutrition, regular physical activity, and tobacco cessation.

Irene Aguilera, Delegate for Social Rights, emphasized that health requires a solid social support network, while Aspacacor President Alfonso Otero noted the goal is to shift mindsets toward active prevention. The event also seeks to provide support and guidance for individuals already living with heart pathologies.
