Córdoba universities boost continuing education and Wi‑Fi capacity

The Universidad Provincial de Córdoba’s (UPC) Continuing Education area reported significant growth for the 2025 academic cycle. Over 70 proposals were reviewed, 63 approved and 31 programs delivered across the main campus and regional sites, including free and fee‑based courses, workshops, diplomas and conferences. The unit completed 24 virtual training sessions for staff, standardized administrative procedures, introduced the SIRO system, and created a digital repository of instructional materials, achieving 100 % autosustainable financing.

Meanwhile, the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (UNC) is expanding its digital infrastructure by installing 667 high‑capacity Wi‑Fi devices. The new equipment will serve more than 150 university spaces and can manage up to 1,000 simultaneous connections per device. Technical teams from architecture, urbanism, design, and exact sciences faculties are mapping locations to maximise coverage and will also optimise the existing network hardware. The project, driven by the university’s Prosecretary of Informatics and the Association of University Interconnection Networks (Ariu), aims to meet rising demand for reliable connectivity in academic, research and administrative activities.
