Creality launches Sermoon P1S handheld 3D scanner
Creality has launched the Sermoon P1S, an all-in-one handheld 3D scanner designed for professional use in automotive work, reverse engineering, and on-location digitization. The device features onboard computing, 256 GB of storage, and a six-inch touchscreen, allowing users to perform scanning and common processing tasks without being tethered to a laptop.
The scanner utilizes a combination of 34 cross laser lines, seven parallel laser lines, a single blue laser line, and NIR structured light to capture various surfaces, from large panels to narrow grooves and deep holes. For CAD reconstruction, Creality reports a blue-laser accuracy of up to 0.02 mm. The hardware includes a Qualcomm octa-core processor, 16 GB of LPDDR5X-RAM, and supports connectivity via Wi-Fi 7, USB 3.0, or standalone wireless modes.
Designed for mobility, the unit weighs 807 grams including the battery and features two replaceable 3,300 mAh batteries with PD 3.0 charging. The device is capable of operating in high ambient light environments, with the blue laser mode handling up to 110,000 lux and the NIR mode supporting up to 80,000 lux with the included filter.
