Drug seizures at Creamfields festival site (3 clusters)
Creamfields festival police seize £246,000 in illegal drugs
The Creamfields electronic dance music festival, held in Daresbury, concluded its recent run with 80,000 attendees and 55,000 campers. During the event, police reported 122 incidents and 38 arrests.
Authorities seized £246,000 worth of illegal drugs, with the majority being nitrous oxide. Superintendent Andy Blizard noted that while overall drug seizures at the gates were lower than in previous years, nitrous oxide remains a primary concern. He highlighted that the drug's classification as a Class C substance has increased its cost.
