Creative Arts Emmys to be held September 5-6 in Los Angeles

The 2026 Creative Arts Emmy Awards are scheduled to take place over two nights, September 5 and September 6, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The first night will primarily focus on unscripted programming, while the second night will focus on scripted content. The dual events will be edited into a single broadcast airing on FXX on September 12.

The Television Academy has expanded the Creative Arts categories this year by moving five races from the Primetime ceremony to provide a fresh broadcast format. These include Best Limited/Movie Supporting Actor, Best Limited/Movie Supporting Actress, Best Limited/Movie Directing, Best Limited/Movie Writing, and Best Variety Series Writing.

Announced presenters for the first night include Colin Hanks, Julianne Hough, Wanda Sykes, and Julie Chen Moonves, among others. The Primetime Emmy ceremony will follow on September 14, hosted by Mariska Hargitay.
