Creative Assembly announces Total War: SHOGUN 2 Complete Edition

Creative Assembly and SEGA have announced that Total War: SHOGUN 2 – Complete Edition will be released on October 13, 2026. This updated version of the 2011 strategy classic will bundle the original game with all major expansions, including Rise of the Samurai and Fall of the Samurai.

The Complete Edition introduces several technical enhancements for modern hardware, such as 64-bit support, improved lighting and textures, 1440p and 4K UI scaling, and ultrawide monitor support. It will also feature full Japanese and Chinese voice and text localization, modernized controls, and integrated Mod.io support. Notably, the edition adds over 50 new playable minor factions.

Existing owners of the original game will receive all original DLC for free and will be eligible for a limited-time 75% discount on the upgrade to the Complete Edition. The game will be available on Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store, and GOG for $39.99 / €39.99 / £34.99.
