Creative Assembly announces Total War: Shogun 2 Complete Edition

Creative Assembly is releasing a Complete Edition of the strategy game Total War: Shogun 2, scheduled for release on October 13, 2026, for PC. The updated version will feature enhanced graphics, including modern lighting, shadows, and textures, alongside a 64-bit upgrade and UI scaling for 1440p and 4K resolutions.

Key features of the Complete Edition include integrated Mod.io support, Japanese and Chinese voice acting, and the addition of over 50 new playable sub-factions. The game will be available on platforms such as Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store for 39.99 Euro.

Existing owners of the original 2011 version of Shogun 2 will receive their legacy DLCs for free. Additionally, original owners will be eligible for a 75 percent discount on the Complete Edition for a period of one month. On Steam, the original version will remain downloadable but will no longer be available for purchase.
