Creative Assembly's Dave Petry has confirmed that Chaos will be present in some form within the upcoming Total War: Warhammer 40,000. Speaking at Gamescom, Petry addressed fan confusion regarding the absence of Chaos from the initial reveal of the four main factions.

While specific details were not disclosed, Petry stated, “Chaos will be present in some form within the game... They will not be absent. We will see them soon.” This suggests that the dark gods may play a significant role in the game's narrative campaigns, potentially acting as a central antagonist that various factions must confront, similar to the structure seen in Total War: Warhammer II and III.
