Creative Assembly confirms Traitor Guard in Total War: Warhammer 40,000

Creative Assembly has confirmed that the Traitor Guard will appear in the campaign for Total War: Warhammer 40,000. Although Chaos Space Marines are not among the four playable factions at launch, Chaos elements will still play a significant role in the gameplay.

The Traitor Guard will act as an antagonist force, capable of fighting players and inciting uprisings within already conquered territories. This mechanic is intended to integrate the Chaos theme into the game's core systems by replacing generic rebel armies with former Imperial soldiers who have turned against the Imperium.
