Creative design and fashion events announced in Valledupar and Montería

Several creative and design initiatives are set to take place in Colombia. In Valledupar, the Ixel Itinerante program, organized by Ixel Moda, will bring fashion, culture, and tourism to the region. The event features a special fashion capsule created by eight Colombian designers—including Hernán Zajar, Lina Cantillo, and Jorge Duque—inspired by vallenato folklore music. The program also includes the ‘Moda y arte: Tributo al maestro Escalona’ exhibition and discussions regarding the intersection of music and design.

In Montería, the first Montería Design Week 2026 (MDW 2026) will be held from September 8 to 15. Hosted at the Universidad del Sinú – Elías Bechara Zainúm, the event is led by the AUVIRLAB collective as part of the city's Youth Week. The week will focus on graphic design, architecture, industrial design, fashion, arts, and audiovisual design through workshops, project exhibitions, and entrepreneurship showrooms.
