CRECEX supports reform to Costa Rica's National Institute of Learning
The Chamber of Foreign Trade of Costa Rica (CRECEX) has expressed its support for a reform to the human talent management model of the National Institute of Learning (INA). CRECEX views the INA as a strategic institution for national competitiveness that requires greater agility to meet evolving labor market demands.
The organization advocates for more flexible training models that effectively incorporate digital tools, virtuality, and schedules adapted to modern work dynamics. This flexibility is intended to reach a broader population, including those living or working outside the Greater Metropolitan Area.
CRECEX emphasized that Costa Rica needs specialized talent in high-demand sectors such as advanced manufacturing, medical devices, artificial intelligence, automation, cybersecurity, logistics, digital commerce, and business services. Modernizing the INA is seen as essential for attracting investment, generating employment, and strengthening the country's ability to compete in international markets.
