CREDICORP expands vehicle mobility programme to Ile-Ife
The Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP) has expanded its National Mobility Programme to Ile-Ife, Osun State. The initiative aims to distribute at least 10,000 locally assembled vehicles, including cars, tricycles, and motorcycles, across the country through affordable consumer credit.
Under the S.C.A.L.E. initiative (Securing Consumer Access for Local Enterprises), the programme connects consumer purchasing power with Nigerian production. This approach is designed to improve individual livelihoods while driving demand for local manufacturers and assemblers. Beneficiaries can acquire these assets through structured repayments over 18 to 24 months.
To date, CREDICORP has provided over N47 billion in credit to more than 300,000 Nigerians for various needs, including digital devices, home improvements, and life essentials. During the rollout in Ile-Ife, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, commended the administration's economic policies for supporting small business operators and micro-economies.
