Creemos Alianza Ciudadana Barinas announces democratic demonstration

The citizen platform Creemos Alianza Ciudadana Barinas has announced a peaceful demonstration in Barinas, Venezuela, to commemorate the anniversary of the Primary Elections. The event, titled ‘Unidos por la Memoria y la Democracia’, is scheduled for October 22, 2026, at the Plaza del Estudiante.

Dr. Virginia Sarmiento, president of the organization, stated that the gathering aims to honor the democratic mandate in which citizens voted for María Corina Machado. Participants are encouraged to contribute messages regarding the respect for popular will, the demand for impartial state institutions—specifically an independent National Electoral Council (CNE) and a Supreme Tribunal of Justice (TSJ)—and the immediate release of all political prisoners.
