Parintins offers 300 free university preparatory course vacancies

The City of Parintins has opened registration for the second edition of the “Eu Amo Parintins” free pre-university preparatory course. Managed by the Municipal Secretariat of Social Assistance, Labor, and Housing (Semasth), the program offers 300 vacancies to help residents prepare for the National High School Exam (Enem) and other higher education entrance exams.

The selection process is specifically aimed at residents registered in the Cadastro Único (CadÚnico) or those served by Semasth. The available spots are divided equally between students currently completing high school and those who have already graduated.

Classes are scheduled to run from September 22 to November 30, held Monday through Saturday. To accommodate working students, the course offers three shifts: morning (8:00–11:00), afternoon (14:00–17:00), and evening (18:00–21:00). The program is being implemented at Biomed in the São Benedito neighborhood by the contracted company Aprova Parintins.

According to Rafael Araújo, manager of Aprova Parintins, the first edition of the program saw 102 students successfully pass into higher education programs such as Law and Nursing at institutions including the State University of Amazonas (UEA) and the Federal University of Amazonas (Ufam).
