Creixell municipality purchases historic Ca la Miquelina building

The town council of Creixell has formalised the acquisition of Ca la Miquelina, a landmark historic building in the town’s old centre. The purchase price was set at €345,669.45 by the Catalan Expropriation Jury, with payments to be made in four instalments starting in 2026, subject to the outcome of an ongoing administrative‑contentious proceeding.

The municipality, led by Mayor Montse Muñoz, plans to restore the property for public cultural and community use. A €50,000 grant request to the Diputació de Tarragona is pending, and the council expects to qualify for further subsidies to fund the rehabilitation. Technical and administrative studies will commence shortly to define restoration works and future functions of the building, aiming to preserve its historic value and make it a reference space for citizens.
