Cremona and Piacenza adjusters manage surge in hail damage claims

Following a severe hailstorm on August 28, insurance adjusters in the Cremona and Piacenza regions are implementing new methods to manage a massive surge in damage claims. Estimates suggest at least 10,000 vehicles were affected in Cremona alone, representing a 200% increase in typical claim volumes.

To expedite the process and avoid long delays, an agency in Piacenza has organized outdoor evaluation sessions. Instead of adjusters visiting individual customers, owners are instructed to bring their vehicles to centralized locations, such as the parking area near the Bocciodromo in Piazzale Azzurri d’Italia. During these sessions, technicians use anti-reflective screens to photograph dents and provide damage estimates directly to clients or repair shops.
