Cremona announces Lidia Bittanti kindness award for youth

The municipality of Cremona has announced the details for the 2026 “Lidia Bittanti” kindness award, an annual initiative established by the Bittanti and Antonioli families to honor acts of altruism among young people.

The award provides a total of 2,000 euros, to be divided into two prizes of 1,000 euros each. Eligible recipients are children and young people under the age of 21 who reside in Cremona or the surrounding province, including non-residents who study or work in the area, and who have distinguished themselves through acts of kindness toward others.

The prizes will be awarded on November 18, 2026. If the funds are not fully allocated to individuals, the commission may distribute the remaining amount to associations or institutions supporting minors. Nominations must be submitted to the Cremona Municipal Cabinet by October 30, 2026. Self-nominations and requests for financial aid will not be considered.
