Cremona reopens municipal nurseries and kindergartens after storm

Municipal nurseries and kindergartens in Cremona have begun reopening following a violent storm that struck the city on August 28, 2026. While most facilities resumed operations on September 1, several locations remain closed to undergo safety assessments and necessary repairs.

The Hack-Montalcini complex, the Zucchi kindergarten, and the Spazio Crescita on via Ruggero Manna are currently closed. At the Spazio Crescita facility, firefighters were required to evaluate the building's stability after a tree fell onto the roof. The Hack-Montalcini complex is expected to reopen on September 2 following safety interventions.

Roberta Mozzi, the Councilor for Education, stated that the administration has prioritized the safety of children, families, and staff by conducting technical inspections and urgent repairs to restore secure conditions as quickly as possible.
