Jhon Lucumi's transfer saga intensifies as Galatasaray, Juventus and others compete

Colombian centre‑back Jhon Lucumi, currently under contract with Bologna until 2027, has become the focus of a heated transfer battle. Turkish giant Galatasaray is reportedly preparing a three‑year offer with a net salary of around €4 million per year and is negotiating Bologna’s asking price of roughly €23‑25 million. Juventus has also signalled strong interest, indicating that a package near €20 million plus bonuses could persuade Bologna to sell. Premier League side Nottingham Forest is among the English clubs monitoring the situation, while other suitors from the Premier League and Serie A are said to be circling. All interested parties are awaiting a resolution on the transfer fee before finalising any personal terms with the player.

The interest comes after Lucumi’s performances for Bologna and the Colombian national team at the World Cup, which have raised his market value. Bologna’s management, under CEO Claudio Fenucci, has emphasized the club’s intention to maximise the fee, noting a 20% future‑sale clause in favour of the club’s former owners. The outcome of the negotiations will determine whether Lucumi moves to Turkey, Italy, England or another destination this summer.
