Cremonese nears deal for Empoli winger Salvatore Elia

Cremonese is nearing a deal to sign Salvatore Elia from Empoli to strengthen their right flank. The 27-year-old winger, who has extensive experience in Serie B with over 150 appearances, is expected to join the club following the completion of bureaucratic formalities.

Reports indicate the transfer fee is approximately 1.5 million euros. Despite Empoli having a contract with Elia until June 2028, Cremonese's sporting director, Trimboli, successfully pressured for the move. Elia, a former Atalanta youth product, is noted for his technical ability and high assist numbers, having recorded 9 assists in 33 matches last season.

In addition to the Elia pursuit, Cremonese is managing other roster changes, including potential departures for Sanabria and Djuric.
