Trenčín launches summer program as European Capital of Culture 2026

Trenčín, designated European Capital of Culture for 2026, opened its summer program featuring a series of concerts, festivals, art installations and performances. Highlights include the Pohoda music festival (July 8‑11) at the city airport, the “Za stolom” food‑focused festival (July 17‑18), the Author Reading Month showcasing Greenlandic literature (July 17‑August 2), a post‑sustainability art intervention by Michal Zajac (July 18), a concert by the band BUTY (July 19), the opening of pavilions by the Woven collective with a community picnic (July 30), and music picnics featuring artist TIMEA (July 31). The program aims to draw visitors to Trenčín’s cultural venues throughout July and August.
