Crete Region unveils digital agricultural machinery management system

The Crete Region has introduced a prototype for an innovative digital system designed to manage agricultural machinery. Developed for the Rural Development services of the Crete Region, the functional prototype was presented at the Institute of Technological and Research (ITE) facilities.

The system is intended to meet the operational requirements of the Directorates of Rural Economy and Veterinary Services across the four regional units of Crete. To facilitate a transition period for staff while complying with current legislation regarding physical archives, the system currently supports the parallel use of both digital and printed documents.

Officials in attendance included Argyros Zerva from the Ministry of Rural Development and Food, Crete Regional Governor Stavros Arnoutakis, and the scientific team from ITE. Once fully implemented, the system may serve as a model for other regional services and ministries throughout Greece.
