Crete schools to launch Cretan Dietary Culture Network

A working meeting was held at the Regional Directorate of Education of Crete to establish a cooperation framework for the program ‘Sustainable Greek School: Cretan Dietary Culture Network’. The initiative aims to create a vibrant network of school communities where gastronomy and Cretan dietary culture serve as fields for learning and creativity.

Participants included representatives from PLOGOS Educational Development, the Hellenic Society for Environment and Culture (ELLET), and the Regional Directorate of Education of Crete. Discussions focused on the program's core pillars, the specific roles and contributions of each participating organization, and the methods for providing pedagogical and scientific support to the participating school units. The project is linked to the broader ‘Crete European Gastronomy Region 2026’ initiative.
