Crete Senesi municipalities present unified tourism identity
Four municipalities in the Crete Senesi region—Asciano, Monteroni d’Arbia, Rapolano Terme, and Buonconvento—have presented a unified tourism proposal at the TTG Travel Experience in Rimini. The initiative aims to establish the area as a recognizable destination within the broader Terre di Siena region by leveraging a shared identity rooted in landscape, history, and culture.
The project focuses on “slow tourism,” highlighting activities such as trekking, cycling tourism, and the exploration of both ancient and contemporary art. Local officials Enrica Ercoli and Alberto Taccioli emphasized that the goal is to showcase the territory’s unique characteristics, including its historical relationship with Siena and a landscape shaped by centuries of human labor.
