Crete tourism awards honor hotel employees and infrastructure progress

The Pancretan Association of Hotel Managers held an awards ceremony at Creta Maris in Hersonissos to present the ‘G. Daskalaki’ awards to hotel employees recognized for their contributions during the concluding tourism season.

During the event, the Regional Governor of Crete, Stavros Arnautakis, emphasized that human capital and major infrastructure projects are essential for the island's sustainable tourism development. He described industry professionals as the island’s ‘best ambassadors’ and called for state support to invest in human capital and ensure a safe, fair, and sustainable working environment.

Arnautakis also highlighted ongoing infrastructure developments intended to transform Crete, including the BOAK highway, the Kastelli airport, and the island's energy interconnection projects.
