Crevillent municipal concierge assaulted at sports facility

The Crevillent City Council has condemned an assault on a municipal concierge that occurred Monday evening at a local sports facility. The attack, reportedly carried out by a group of youths, is currently under investigation by the Local Police and the Guardia Civil.

In response to the incident, the council has suspended all football pitch bookings until September 13 or until the facts of the case are clarified. The municipal government expressed its support for the employee and emphasized that such violent or intimidating conduct against public service workers is “unacceptable.”

Authorities noted that the incident is particularly serious given that sports facilities are intended to promote respect, coexistence, and fair play. The council also highlighted that regulations for using municipal sports facilities have already been strengthened to prevent uncivil and vandalistic behavior.
