Criança Esperança 2026 features musical show and charity mobilization

The Criança Esperança 2026 charity event is being held on Monday, featuring a special program titled ‘Show da Esperança’. The event is designed as a symphonic fable inspired by children's literature, set within a magical library theme. Lázaro Ramos will lead the musical performances alongside the Orquestra Sinfônica Brasileira (OSB).

Musical guests include Péricles, Sandy, Gilberto Gil, Flor Gil, Michel Teló, and Gaby Amarantos, performing new arrangements of songs related to childhood. The program also features theatrical elements with characters such as Emília, played by Isabelle Drummond, and Cuca, played by Evelyn Castro. Children from the Rocinha Music School will perform with the OSB.

Taís Araujo and Marcos Mion are leading the live mobilization efforts, encouraging viewers to donate via Pix (esperanca@unesco.org) or QR code, a method that replaces traditional telephone donations. Other participants include various journalists, athletes, and artists such as Dira Paes, Cafu, and Denilson.
