Criciúma police investigate gang rape of 22-year-old woman

A 22-year-old woman was the victim of a gang rape in Criciúma, southern Santa Catarina, on Monday night (7). According to her report to the Civil Police, she was walking along Avenida Centenário in the Pinheirinho neighborhood when she was approached by four hooded men.

The suspects allegedly forced her into a black vehicle. After the assault, the victim was abandoned on a public road. She received medical assistance and was taken to Hospital São José for treatment and examinations. The Scientific Police have also been called to conduct forensic analysis.

The Civil Police have opened an investigation to identify the suspects and clarify the circumstances of the crime. Authorities are working to locate the vehicle mentioned in the victim's testimony.
