Cricket Australia reports record revenue and surplus
Cricket Australia has reported a record revenue of 601.1 million Australian dollars ($423 million) and a net surplus of A$81.8 million ($57 million) for the 2025-26 financial year. This follows a net loss of A$11.3 million in the previous 2024-25 period.
The financial success is attributed to strong commercial performance, record audiences, and media rights agreements related to the Ashes and a limited-overs series against India. The Ashes series saw significant attendance, attracting 859,580 spectators over 18 days.
Despite the current surplus, the organization forecasts losses for the 2026-27 and 2027-28 financial years, citing a cyclical decline in media rights and match revenues based on the international touring schedule.
