Cricket: England-Pakistan series sets world record; Nepal seeks series with Bangladesh

A recent three-match Test series between England and Pakistan has set a new world record for the highest number of runs and half-centuries scored in a series without a single player reaching a century. Across 112 innings played by 27 batsmen, the teams accumulated 2,460 runs and recorded 20 half-centuries, surpassing the previous record set during the 1993 Pakistan-Zimbabwe series.

In a separate development, the Cricket Association of Nepal has formally proposed a bilateral series against Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has received the proposal positively and is currently in discussions to find a suitable window within their Future Tours Programme (FTP) through 2027. While the busy schedule makes immediate scheduling difficult, the BCB is exploring possibilities to facilitate the series.
