The allegations include sexual assault, illegal confinement, and being denied food during an incident in Delhi on April 2, 2026. Additionally, the woman claims Porel recorded intimate moments and used the private material to intimidate her.

Following a court order, the Mogra police arrested Porel late Monday night. The Calcutta High Court has also issued directives to prevent the complainant's images from being circulated online and ordered the seizure of Porel's electronic devices. Police have registered the case under several provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including Section 69, as well as the Information Technology Act.
