Cricketer Auqib Nabi celebrates India debut and IPL success

Jammu and Kashmir fast bowler Auqib Nabi has celebrated his recent professional milestones by purchasing a new vehicle in Srinagar. The 29-year-old pacer recently made his international debut for India during the ODI series against the West Indies on September 30 at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.

Nabi’s rise follows a highly successful domestic season where he claimed 60 wickets in 10 matches, leading Jammu and Kashmir to their first maiden Ranji Trophy title. His performances also secured him an 84 million rupee contract with the Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League.

Originally from Baramulla, Nabi transitioned from playing tennis ball cricket to organized red-ball cricket after the age of 19. He has since continued his domestic form, recently taking wickets in the Ranji Trophy 2026-27 opener against Madhya Pradesh.
