Crieff Hydro opens new Padel Barn in Perthshire

Crieff Hydro, a historic resort in Perthshire, has officially opened the Padel Barn, a new facility featuring three state-of-the-art indoor padel courts. The addition is intended to provide an all-weather option for the growing racket sport, which combines elements of tennis and squash.

The facility is open daily from 7 am to 10 pm and is accessible to hotel guests, Country Club members, local residents, and day visitors. Bookings can be made via the Playtomic app for 60 or 90-minute sessions. While rackets are provided free of charge, balls are available for purchase via an on-site vending machine.

Richard Leckie, associate director at Crieff Hydro, noted that the sport's accessibility makes it suitable for both experienced players and beginners. The investment continues the resort's long-standing focus on sport and wellness, which dates back to its origins as the Strathearn Hydropathic Establishment in 1868.
