Crime fiction festivals announced in Soria and Ourense

Two upcoming literary events in Spain will focus on the crime fiction and thriller genres.

In Soria, author Víctor José Fernández Pérez will present 'El asesino de las ánimas' on October 31 at the Casino Amistad Numancia. This novel is the second volume in the 'Los Hermanos X' saga and is set against the backdrop of the Festival de las Ánimas. The plot follows Commissioner Daniel Ferrer as he investigates mysterious deaths and threats occurring in locations such as the San Nicolás ruins and the banks of the Duero River.

In Ourense, the 'Ourense Black. A noite máis escura' festival will take place from November 26 to 28 at the Centro Cultural Marcos Valcárcel. Organized by the Deputación de Ourense and Analogías, the event features various talks and panels involving authors such as Arantza Portabales, Manuel Ríos San Martín, and Luis García-Rey. The program includes discussions on the geography of secrets, organized crime, and the transition from page to screen.
