Crime incidents reported in Arapongas and Toledo

Two separate criminal incidents were reported in the state of Paraná, Brazil, on Sunday, November 1.

In Arapongas, a man was threatened with a scythe while attempting to recover a stolen cell phone. The victim reported that he went to a known acquaintance's house to question him about the missing device. During the confrontation, the suspect allegedly attempted to attack the victim with the tool before fleeing. Local police conducted searches in the Tropical neighborhood, but the suspect remains at large.

In Toledo, a man was detained by a resident after being caught attempting to steal a car audio component. The homeowner and his wife discovered the individual in their garage after hearing unusual noises. The suspect was found with the stolen part in his pocket and was held by the victim until the Military Police arrived. The individual was subsequently taken to the 20th Police Subdivision for legal procedures.
