Crime incidents reported in Cali and Bogotá

In Cali, a confrontation following a robbery in the El Limonar neighborhood left a young man in critical condition. A motorcyclist reportedly stole a bag and cell phone from a woman in a private vehicle. A bystander intervened by ramming the motorcyclist, leading to a physical altercation involving witnesses and the victim's family. During the struggle, a shot was fired, striking the victim's son in the stomach. The Metropolitan Police of Cali arrested the suspect in flagrante, seizing a traumatic revolver, a motorcycle, and the stolen items.

In Bogotá, authorities recovered a stolen taxi in the Usme locality through the use of C4 command and control surveillance cameras. The vehicle was taken using the 'halado' method while the driver was dropping his daughter off at school. Real-time video monitoring allowed police to track the vehicle across various sectors of the city, leading to the interception of the taxi and the arrest of a 22-year-old man. The suspect has been handed over to the Attorney General's Office.
