Crime incidents reported in Tehran and Mashhad

Two separate violent incidents have been reported in Iran. In Tehran’s Fallah neighborhood, a young man was fatally stabbed while attempting to defend his father from two men who were harassing him. The victim’s father stated that he called his son for help after being confronted by the individuals, but the attackers fled the scene after the stabbing.

In Mashhad, a 43-year-old man, Mohammad Ali T., confessed to the murder of his mother approximately 11 months ago. During a judicial reconstruction of the crime, the suspect stated that he killed his mother with a glass wine bottle after becoming enraged by her insistence that he eat dinner while he was consuming alcohol. To conceal the crime, the suspect transported the body to a remote area near the Mashhad–Chenaran road, where he attempted to burn it using alcohol. He had previously reported his mother as missing to divert suspicion.
