Crime incidents reported in Torres Novas, Lisbon, and Coimbra

Several criminal incidents have been reported across Portugal involving theft and robbery. In Torres Novas, a group of five assailants used a firearm to threaten and kidnap a couple during a carjacking of a Porsche Panamera. The victims, who operate a business in Golegã, were forced from the vehicle, and a woman was later found abandoned on the road approximately 100 meters away. The GNR Santarém Command is currently searching for the vehicle.

In Lisbon, police arrested a Romanian couple in flagrante delicto on Rua Costa do Castelo for stealing a wallet and using a bank card, resulting in a loss of 170 euros for the victim.

Additionally, a 64-year-old man and his 53-year-old partner were sentenced by the Coimbra Court for a series of thefts targeting vehicles near cemeteries and agricultural properties. The man received a six-year prison sentence, while the woman received a suspended sentence of four and a half years. The investigation into their activities, which began in early 2025, was aided by identifying a specific vehicle roof design used during the crimes.
