Crime reports in Paraná involve bank scams and theft

Two separate criminal incidents involving financial loss have been reported in the state of Paraná.

In Entre Rios do Oeste, a woman lost approximately R$ 5,000 after being targeted by a WhatsApp scam. An individual posing as a bank employee contacted the victim, claiming her account had been compromised. Under the guise of protecting her funds, the scammer convinced her to transfer the money to another account. The Military Police recorded the occurrence, and the case has been referred to the Civil Police for investigation.

In a separate incident, a resident of Mauá da Serra reported the theft of her wallet during an event at the Expoara Event Center in Arapongas. The stolen items included R$ 250 in cash, her driver's license, and three bank cards. The victim discovered the theft after receiving notifications for R$ 400 in unauthorized purchases made at a commercial establishment. She has since blocked her cards to prevent further fraudulent activity.
