Crime reports in Vilhena and Londrina involve theft and armed robbery
Two separate criminal incidents were reported in Brazil involving theft and robbery.
In Vilhena, Rondônia, a convenience store at a gas station was broken into on Friday morning. Perpetrators smashed a tempered glass door to access the cash register, stealing wine, a cell phone, and cigarette packs. The thief also took the keys to a red Fiat Strada parked nearby and used the vehicle to flee. Following an anonymous tip, police located the abandoned truck on Linha 135. Technical experts processed the vehicle for fingerprints before it was returned to its owner.
In Londrina, Paraná, two armed men robbed a gas resale and convenience store in the Vila Nova neighborhood on Thursday evening. Security footage captured the suspects entering the establishment and threatening an employee with a firearm to locate cash. The duo fled with approximately R$ 400 and four cell phones. Police noted that the relatively low amount stolen despite the use of a firearm suggests the suspects may have been acting on information regarding larger sums of money that were not present.
