Criminal arrests and legal updates reported in Honduras and Colombia

In Honduras, authorities arrested 56-year-old evangelical pastor Emiliano de Jesús Díaz Udiel in the village of Chichicaste. He faces charges of aggravated continuous sexual abuse against a minor. The investigation revealed that the victim, who was under the care of the accused, was subjected to unpaid domestic and agricultural labor and was prevented from attending school.

In Colombia, influencer Daneidy Barrera Rojas, known as ‘Epa Colombia’, appeared remotely in a hearing from the Picaleña prison. As part of a reparation agreement for damages caused to the TransMilenio system in 2019, she is required to produce 50 videos promoting civic culture and the proper use of public transport.

Other recent incidents in Colombia include the arrest of three men in El Retiro for an attempted home invasion, the capture of a 36-year-old man in Bogotá for suspected bank card fraud, and a health alert issued by Invima regarding ‘Crema Amu’, a fraudulent skin product marketed to remove moles and warts without sanitary registration.
