Criminal cases and accidents reported in Portugal

In Trancoso, a woman approximately 50 years old sustained serious injuries after being struck by a large tree. The incident occurred on a Monday morning while she was accompanied by family members cutting pine trees on a property. Emergency responders, including the GNR and firefighters from Trancoso and Moimenta da Beira, provided assistance before transporting her to the Hospital da Guarda.

In a separate criminal matter, a 26-year-old influencer from Portimão is accused of planning the kidnapping of her virtual boyfriend. The dispute reportedly stems from a canceled trip to Greece involving non-refundable costs of approximately 7,000 euros.

Additionally, legal retrospectives highlight the case of Francisco Leitão, known as ‘Rei Ghob’. Between 2008 and 2010, Leitão was convicted in the Torres Vedras Court for the murders of three youths in the Lourinhã and Torres Vedras regions. He received a 25-year prison sentence for homicide, concealment of corpses, illegal weapon possession, and document forgery.
