Criminal charges filed in Antigua shooting and US crypto-targeted robbery attempts

Two separate criminal incidents involving firearms and robbery have resulted in charges in Antigua and Barbuda and the United States.

In Antigua, Javia Peters, 25, and Saquami Christian, 22, appeared before the St. John’s Magistrate’s Court. They face joint charges for the shooting of 47-year-old Francis Dennis in Villa on September 27, as well as two separate robberies in Ottos on the same day. The robberies involved the theft of cash, jewelry, and mobile devices. Both men have been remanded to His Majesty’s Prison until December 2, 2026.

In the United States, Damian Vielma, 20, and Jeremiah Clybourn, 19, were arrested in Dallas following an investigation into an attempted robbery in San Jose, California. Police allege the men posed as delivery workers on September 5 to target a resident believed to hold cryptocurrency. While the robbery was not completed, investigators linked the suspects to similar incidents in Atherton via automated license-plate cameras. The men face charges including attempted robbery and possession of a stolen vehicle.
