Various criminal convictions reported across Latin America and Spain
Various judicial proceedings across Latin America and Spain have resulted in several criminal convictions.
In Colombia, Sandra Milena Parra Rivera and Mario Albeiro Montoya Osorio were sentenced to over nine years in prison for a mass fraud scheme in Bello. The pair defrauded at least 200 families of more than 500 million pesos by promoting a non-existent social interest housing project.
In Argentina, a man in Tolhuin received six years and six months for sexual abuse and property damage. Additionally, three individuals were sentenced to between three and five years for an armed robbery at a real estate agency in Chascomús.
In Spain, the Audiencia Provincial de A Coruña will trial four individuals accused of trafficking a Colombian woman under false pretenses to force her into prostitution.
In Mexico, a man in Tijuana was linked to a process for aggravated express kidnapping, while in Uruguay, several individuals received sentences for theft and trespassing in Salto.
