Poland reports multiple major criminal cases and cold case breakthrough

Polish authorities have reported several significant criminal developments across the country. In a major breakthrough for the "Archiwum X" unit, an indictment has been filed against Tomasz T. and Krzysztof R. for the 2000 murders of two teenagers, Anna K. and Marta Sz., in Radzymin. The suspects face potential life sentences for the killings, which were linked to multiple rapes.

In other incidents, the prosecution is appealing sentences in the Przemków case involving the brutal abuse and deaths of two young brothers, seeking harsher penalties than those initially handed down. In Swarzędź, a 51-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after shooting his former partner in the head with a black powder weapon; the victim remains in critical condition.

Law enforcement also reported a major drug seizure in Gdańsk, where police recovered nearly 9 kilograms of narcotics, including amphetamine and cannabis, from a camping trailer. Additionally, a 75-year-old man in Komarów-Osada was detained after attacking police officers with a machete, axe, and knife during an intervention regarding domestic threats. Other reported crimes include a theft by a 22-year-old in Katowice intercepted by an off-duty officer and a 58-year-old man in Bytom arrested for violating a restraining order and stealing a phone from an elderly woman.
